Hi, I’m Jade Spielman, LMFT

I received my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Kansas State University in 2007, and began my career as a grief counselor at Hospice Care. In that role, I supported individuals facing the end of their lives and families navigating the heartbreak of losing someone they love. Sitting with people in those sacred, vulnerable moments shaped the heart of my work: Healing is not about “getting over it,” but about honoring love, memory, identity, and the many ways grief reshapes us.

After hospice, I worked in a community agency providing in-school therapy for children and families, supporting students through emotional and relational challenges. I later transitioned into private practice, where I had the privilege of working with a wide variety of clients across the lifespan. These experiences deepened my belief that therapy should be compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in real human connection.

My approach is also deeply personal. I lost my mom at 18, a loss that profoundly changed me and continues to inform the gentleness and reverence I bring to grief work. Years later, I endured the devastating late second-trimester loss of my daughter, Selah. These losses are part of my story, and they shape the way I sit with others. Rather than rushing pain or searching for silver linings, I believe in walking alongside you—honoring your pace, your truth, and your lived experience.

Over time, I began to recognize that loss takes many forms. It can be the death of a loved one, but it can also be the loss of identity, control, partnership, certainty, or the version of life we thought we’d have—especially in seasons like postpartum, perimenopause, and menopause. 

Today, I specialize in supporting women through grief, perinatal and infant loss, infertility, and postpartum transitions, and hormonal and identity shifts that can leave us feeling unlike ourselves.

In my practice, I offer a calm, nurturing space where you don’t have to be “strong” or hold everything together. Together, we slow down, make room for what you’re carrying, and begin the process of healing with compassion and intention. My work is warm, relational, and evidence-informed—rooted in the belief that you deserve support in every season, and that healing becomes possible when we feel truly seen and understood.

My Approach

Hi, I’m Jade Spielman, LMFT. I specialize in supporting women through life’s many transitions—from the tender, disorienting months after becoming a mother to the complex changes of perimenopause and menopause. These seasons often bring a mix of emotions: joy and loss, strength and exhaustion, clarity and confusion. My goal is to offer a space where every part of your experience is welcome and held with compassion.

A significant part of my work is walking with women and families through grief and loss—whether it’s the heartbreak of perinatal or infant loss, the quiet grief that can come with identity changes, or the deep sorrow of losing someone close. I believe that grief deserves gentle attention and that healing begins when we can share our stories without judgment or pressure to “move on.” In our work together, I’ll help you honor what’s been lost while slowly finding your way back to connection, meaning, and hope.

In therapy, I provide a calm and grounded space to explore the emotional and physical shifts of life changes. We’ll work together to understand what’s happening beneath the surface, from relationship stress to identity shifts and the pull to rediscover who you are. I also work with couples navigating these seasons, helping you strengthen understanding and closeness in times of change or grief.

My approach blends warmth, mindfulness, and evidence-based practices, always centered on your unique needs and pace. I believe healing is not about perfection—it’s about feeling seen, supported, and empowered to move through life’s transitions with self-compassion and courage.
